Our Historic Places

On March 15, 1827, King’s College - precursor to the University of Toronto - was granted its royal charter by King George IV and in 2002 U of T proudly celebrated its 175th anniversary. The City of Toronto Inventory of Heritage Properties includes over 50 University of Toronto sites, ranging from the Alexandra Gates at Philosopher's Walk to the Zion Congregational Church at 88 College Street.
