Massey College - 4 Devonshire Place
On a small site on a busy street, Massey College has been laid out to form a peaceful quadrangle in a modern interpretation of traditional collegiate form. Originated in 1960 by Vincent Massey, the first Canadian-born Governor General of Canada, the college, like Hart House, was an endowment of the Massey Foundation. "It is of great importance," he wrote "that it should, in its form, reflect the life which will go on inside it and should possess certain qualities - dignity, grace, beauty, and warmth."
