What it is:

First phase of a new "sports for all" facility

 

Opening date:   
Winter 2007; Groundbreaking Nov. 25, 2005.
What's in it:   

Regulation size football and soccer field, eight lane track, seating for 5,000 and support amenities including change rooms, lights, scoreboard and landscaping. There is also an air-supported structure over the playing field in winter months.

Proposed subsequent phases include ,a 3- or 4-storey building at the south end of the site with training facilities, etc. and renovations to Varsity Arena.
